Class Descriptions

Guided Meditation

A simple practice of sitting together and paying attention. Class will begin with some gentle movements to relax the body. Those who can not find comfort sitting on the ground will be encouraged to use a chair or lie down. The emphasis is on meeting your experience as it is, with patience and kindness. No prior meditation experience is needed.

Gentle Yoga

A slow and supportive movement practice designed to help you feel more at home in your body. Gentle Yoga emphasizes ease and connection with breath, offering space to explore movement without pressure. Gentle Yoga classes include a flow structure linking movement with breath as well as/or a more static structure where poses are held for a period of time. All yoga classes at Mammoth Yoga include meditation, breath work, and other elements of the yoga tradition unrelated to poses. This class supports healing, resilience, and rest while building trust in your body’s innate wisdom.

Vigorous Yoga

An active and heat building movement class that builds strength, stamina, and focus. Students are encouraged to listen closely to their bodies, explore challenge with curiosity, and cultivate steadiness and ease. Vinyasa Yoga classes include a flow structure linking movement with breath as well as/or a more static structure where poses are held for a period of time. All yoga classes at Mammoth Yoga include meditation, breath work, and other elements of the yoga tradition unrelated to poses. This class supports increasing energy and mental balance while building trust in your body’s innate wisdom.

Flexibility & Mobility

A practical class focused on improving range of motion, joint health, and everyday movement. Through targeted stretching and mobility exercises, students support physical longevity and ease. This class is taught in a straightforward, secular way and is accessible to a wide range of bodies and abilities. This class does not include meditation or breathwork.

Strength Training

A functional strength class that supports stability, balance, and confidence in movement. Using bodyweight and simple equipment, this class complements yoga and daily life by building strength safely and effectively. Instruction is clear and practical, with no spiritual or contemplative elements. This class does not include meditation or breathwork.

Restorative Yoga

A deeply restful practice designed to support nervous system regulation and recovery. Using props and long-held, comfortable positions, Restorative Yoga offers time to slow down, soften, and replenish. All yoga classes at Mammoth Yoga include meditation, breath work, and other elements of the yoga tradition unrelated to poses. This class invites stillness as a meaningful practice in itself.

Write Night

A peer-led community gathering centered on reflection, creativity, and presence. Write Night offers gentle prompts, quiet writing time, and optional sharing in a supportive environment. This is a space to listen inwardly, express honestly, and connect through words.

Art Night

A peer-led welcoming space for creative exploration and connection. Art Night invites play, experimentation, and self-expression without expectations or instruction. Bring your own art supplies and create alongside others and enjoy the simple act of making something together.

Recovery Meeting

A free, peer-led gathering offering a supportive space for people in recovery using the Dharma Recovery model, or potentially the AA/NA model depending on what is more appealing to the community. This meeting centers shared experience, mutual respect, and confidentiality. Participation is open and non-judgmental, with an emphasis on community support rather than instruction.

Devotional Yoga (Saturday)

A heart-centered practice that blends gentle movement, breathwork, and some chanting. This class offers a space to explore intention, rhythm, and connection through embodied practice. Spiritual elements are offered with openness and choice, allowing each participant to engage in a way that feels authentic to them.

Dance Jam

A free-form movement experience rooted in self-expression and presence. Guided by music rather than choreography, Dance Jam invites you to move however your body wants to move. This practice supports emotional release, creativity, and connection through shared movement. This is a clean and sober event, no alcohol or drugs are permitted. Shoes must be removed at the door. Consent to dance with an other person must be asked for and given explicitly to maintain a safe space for everyone. The dance floor is a non-verbal space and a dedicated area for socializing will be provided. Other than that there are no rules, move how you want to in a judgement free environment.

Yoga Nidra (Sunday Evening)

A guided practice of deep rest and conscious relaxation. Yoga Nidra supports restoration by inviting awareness through the body and mind while remaining fully supported and still. This practice is especially nourishing for stress relief, integration, and closing the week with care.
